About this event: The Women's Congressional Staff Association continues the "Dinner & Dialogue" forum highlighting accomplished women in D.C. by sharing their experience, best practices, and engaging in an open conversation with Congressional staffers. The dinner will bring together one mentor with 9 members of WCSA, with each attendee paying a registration fee of $5 and the cost of their own dinner. Registration for the dinner will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

*BIO: April Boyd is Senior Director of Federal Government Affairs for Yahoo!, Inc., where she represents the company before Congress on a range of issues that impact Yahoo’s +800 million users. Politico listed Boyd as among the high tech industry’s “top Gen X talent from the White House and Capitol Hill.”April joined Yahoo after 14 years of government service, where she worked at the highest levels in the Administration, U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. She was nominated by President Obama to serve as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs, making her the youngest Senate-confirmed official in the Obama Administration. Prior to joining the Obama Administration, Boyd spent eight years on Capitol Hill, including as Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher and National Press Secretary to Senator John Kerry. April is a native of Iowa who graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She lives on Capitol Hill with her husband and two children.
