“Stop Sabotaging Your Job Search”: A Panel Discussion

Wednesday, December 17, 2014

6:30-8:30p.m.

2168 Rayburn House Office Building (Gold Room)

About This Event: Perhaps you have just begun your Capitol Hill job search and you’re hoping to avoid resume mistakes that keep your application in the “no” pile. Maybe you’ve mastered your cover letter but you’re clueless about informational interviews. No matter where you are in your Hill career, we invite you to join WCSA for a panel with senior staff on Capitol Hill and job consultant professionals to discuss these issues and more.  While preparing a stellar resume and cover letter and nailing the interview are key to any successful job search, we know that these simply aren’t enough to land a job with a Member of Congress. The “Stop Sabotaging Your Job Search” panelists will share mistakes that they’ve seen job seekers make and answer your questions about everything from networking etiquette to thank-you notes. Reception to follow. We look forward to seeing you there! This opportunity is open to WCSA members and friends of WCSA. Please email Kelsey Moran atkelsey.moran@mail.house.gov or Jennifer Shapiro at Jennifer.shapiro@mail.house.gov with questions.
