About this event: The Women's Congressional Staff Association will host a panel discussion about the role of "Staff Assistant." This panel's intended audience is both current Staff Assistants as well as interns who are looking for Staff Assistant jobs and want to get a better understanding of the role.  It will address best practices for tasks every Staff Assistant on the Hill has to do: booking tours, ordering flags, hiring and managing interns, and generally keeping the front office functioning smoothly.  It will also help you think about next steps, including how to appropriately ask for more substantive work within your office, how to decide what you want to do next, how to determine when it's time to start looking for a job in another office, and how to make the exciting transition into a new role.  The panel will last about an hour with a brief reception to follow.  This event is open to WCSA Members only.  Questions? Email Allison Lewis atAllison.Lewis@mail.house.gov or Elizabeth-Burton Jones at Elizabeth-Burton_Jones@inhofe.senate.gov
