WCSA MEMBERS ONLY - Dinner & Dialogue with Julie Chavez Rodriguez, Deputy Director of Public Engagement at the White House Wednesday, October 19th, 2016 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Elephant and Castle (1201 Pennsylvania Ave NW) COST: $5 and cost of own dinnerAbout this event: Julie Chavez Rodriguez is Special Assistant to the President and Senior Deputy Director of Public Engagement. Over the past four years, Julie has worked in the Office of Public Engagement, supporting efforts to reform the nation’s immigration system, improve services for veterans, and increase access to affordable, quality health care, among other issues. Julie has also worked in coordination with the White House’s National Security Council on efforts to normalize the United States’ relationship with Cuba, in addition to responding to the migration of Central American children and their families. Prior to joining the White House, Julie served as the Director of Youth Employment at the Department of the Interior and the Deputy Press Secretary to former Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. Before joining the Administration, Julie served as the Director of Programs at the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation.
This event includes a $5 registration fee and the cost of their own dinner. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is for WCSA Members Only.
