The Women’s Congressional Staff Association's (WCSA) Professional Development Committee is pleased to formally announce the launch the first-ever Professional Development Program during Women’s History Month and during WCSA’s 10th Anniversary. This program is for WCSA Members only and aims to create well-rounded staffers in the areas of Congressional knowledge, personal branding, and professional acumen.
The program will first focus on the WCSA Member as an individual, specifically with regards to branding, budgeting and balance. Then the program will focus on the individual WCSA Member as a staffer and will concentrate on the staffer as a networker, liaison, and an interviewee. Finally, the program will focus on the individual WCSA Member as a colleague particularly as a resourceful staffer and an authentic leader that lifts.
Participants will have first priority for WCSA Professional Development Program Events, receive an award to commemorate their completion of the program, and gain a plethora of professional development skills. This program is an excellent resume builder and will provide plenty of opportunities for networking.
If you are interested in joining the inaugural class of Program Participants and if you are able to attend the launch party on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 5:30 P.M. in the Rayburn Gold Room please REGISTER HERE. Note that spaces for the first class are limited.
During the Professional Development Program’s Launch Party, we will make the website tab live, have program swag available for participants, go over the program events, and have plenty of desserts to boot.
If you have any questions about this exciting program, do not hesitate to e-mail Elizabeth-Burton Jones at ebj@mail.house.gov.
