Come see Bush Administration Press Secretary Dana Perino discuss her experiences as a high-ranking, and highly-visible official in the White House.
Dana Perino served as Press Secretary to President Bush from 2007 to 2009. She is only the second woman to serve in this position. A native of Colorado, Ms. Perino earned her master’s in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois-Springfield and received her bachelor’s degree in mass communications from the University of Southern Colorado. She is a former Hill staffer, initially working as staff assistant for Rep. Scott McInnis (R-CO) and later as press secretary for Rep. Dan Schaefer (R-CO). She joined the White House in 2003 as the associate director of communications for the White House Council on Environmental Quality, before moving on to become Deputy Assistant to President Bush and Deputy Press Secretary.
This event is the second in a series called "Women of the White House," in which WCSA connects WCSA members with White House staff from past and present Administrations.
