Rep. Napolitano was first elected to Congress in 1998 and is currently serving her sixth term representing California’s 38th District.  In her political career, she has served as a city council member, mayor, and a member of the California Assembly.  She also worked for Ford Motor Company for 21 years, while raising five children.  She currently serves as Chair of the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water and Power, and as a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
